This is a little known area approx 2.5 hours drive to the north of Johannesburg. Its main feature is a dramatic plateau with panoramic views which is dissected by ravines and waterfalls. There are a couple of fabulous places to stay – notably Ants Hill and Ants Nest as well as Jembisa which are bush homes offering a home-from-home experience in the African bush. Horse-riding is a speciality of the area.
