Jaci’s Safari Lodge *****

Jaci’s consists of two lodges – Safari Lodge and Tree Lodge, with Safari Lodge being the most suitable for families. It is built around an ancient termite mound overlooking an established waterhole on the banks of the Marico River. Accommodation is in chalets with stone and canvas walls with shaggy thatched roofs to create a true safari atmosphere. Children of all ages are welcome at Jaci’s but they must be aged 8yrs and over to be able to go on the adult game drives. There is a pool for relaxation between game drives, or walking safaris are available for adults only.

ESPECIALLY FOR FAMILIES
  • Each chalet can accommodate up to 3 children under the age of 13yrs on camp beds. Alternatively there is the Safari Cottage which is perfect for families with older children as it has a loft room accessed by an internal staircase, and downstairs there is a lounge area and main bedroom. There is a private plunge pool (unfenced). There is also the Nare Suite which has 2 bedrooms as well as its own lounge and kitchen. Here you have your own private ranger and so children under 8yrs of age may go with you on game drives.
  • Children aged 1 – 7 yrs are taken on their own Kiddie Game Drives
  • Childminders will look after your children whilst you are out on Game Drives and dinner is served for them at 6pm.
  • Specialised Childrens Safaris for children aged 3 – 11 yrs which is a daily programme of activities (additional cost approx £25 per child per day) including animal tracking, river safaris etc.
  • Children aged 10yrs and younger are not allowed to eat dinner with the adults
