Oudtshoorn is located approx 4 hours drive to the east of Cape Town and is well known for its Ostrich Farms. There are several farms which welcome visitors and show them the workings of a real ostrich farm as well as giving them the chance to ride one if they dare! Located 29km from Oudtshoorn you will find the Cango Caves which are famous for their limestone grottos with stalactites and stalactmites. Also worth visiting is the Rust-en-Vrede Waterfall which is hidden amongst bracken-clad heights and accessible by a trail over small bridges and along a fern-clad path. The waterfall is located 18km from Oudtshoorn on the way to the Cango Caves.
