The Garden Route is a region stretching from Mossel Bay in the West to Tsitsikamma in the East offering a spectacular coastline of dramatic headlands and sandy bays. In the hinterland you will find soaring mountains covered with indigenous rainforest and waterfalls. Activities in the area are plentiful! They range from walking and hiking trails in the forest, by lakes or along the sandy beaches, to horse-riding, mountain biking, canoeing or even bungee-jumping! A trip on the Outeniqua Choo Choo train which steams between Knysna and George is a fun way to gain an insight into this scenic region. Other attractions include boat trips on the Knysna Lagoon, the Knysna Elephant Park and Monkeyland at Plettenberg Bay.
