Itinerary Three – “City, Bush And Beach”

Cape Town, Safari and Beach

Day 1 Depart London Heathrow on your non stop overnight flight to Cape Town.
Day 2 On arrival in Cape Town, pick up your hire car and drive yourselves to your chosen accommodation for a 4 night stay.
Standard: Morningside Cottage, Makuti Lodge, or Silvermist Mountain Lodge
Superior: The Radisson Waterfront Hotel or Camps Bay Resort
Deluxe: The Cape Grace
Days 3 - 5 Spend 3 days exploring this beautiful city. You might like to take a tour of the Cape Peninsular with its many shipwrecks, penguins on the beach at Boulders. A “must” is a trip up Table Mountain (weather permitting)! Also on the list might be a visit to the Aquarium at the Waterfront or a trip into the winelands- just a short drive away.
Day 6 Today head southeast away from Cape Town to Grootbos Nature Reserve where you will spend 3 nights on a full board basis. Activities from Grootbos include horse-riding, trips to the beach, whale watching (July – November) and nature walks. Plenty of activities are laid on for children.

Day 7 & 8 Spend 2 days exploring the wonderful scenery and beaches in the Grootbos area.
Day 9 This morning drive yourselves back to Cape Town in time for your flight to Port Elizabeth. Here you will be collected and transferred to your accommodation (unless staying at The Elephant House when you will need another rental car). Spend 3 nights on safari.
Standard: The Elephant House
Superior: Lalibela Game Reserve or Kariega Game Reserve
Deluxe: Pumba Game Reserve, Riverbend Lodge or Long Hope Villa
Days 10 & 11 Spend two days experiencing Game Drives and other activities in open topped 4x4 vehicles in the game reserve you have chosen.
Days 12 You will either be transferred or self drive back to Port Elizabeth in time for your short flight up to Johannesburg where you will connect with your onward overnight flight to London.
Day 13 Arrive London Heathrow early morning.
